Deep Calls to Deep -2nd CD - Watch of the Lord Series

I have just completed the 2nd CD in the Watch of the Lord Series entitled, "Deep Calls to Deep". The second watch of the night is a time of Thanksgiving and of asking the Lord to prepare us for what lies ahead. This CD is also an instrumental cd with some scriptures and prayer. Featured on "Deep Calls to Deep" is a prophetic flow with me on the keyboard, Tes Rogers on the flute, and Cara Rogers on the violin.

Hosting His Presence

On Father's Day, June 15th, the Holy Spirit visited Freedom Congregation of Colorado Springs and directed us through Sam Brassfield to host the Ark of His Presence for ninety days. We have been doing so and it has been life changing! Dutch Sheets was directed by the Lord that we suspend all "normal" church services and activities so we can focus all of our attention on ministering to the Lord. The second part of Sam's word from the Lord was that after we host His Presence for ninety days, it will be released to the nation. The last three days of this ninety day period are September 11 - 13. Leaders and worshippers from around the nation will be gathering in Colorado Springs for three days of 24/7 worship. We believe those that come will be released to carry His Glory to this nation!

The Lightning of God

The Lord began unfolding an image in my spirit last night of a lightning strike of His Glory. I saw His Throne with lightning and thunder emanating from His Majesty. Then I saw earth and those gathered to worship, intercede, war against the enemy...His children who are desperate, hungry, and thirsty. In nature a strike of lightning goes up from the earth as well as down from the sky. There is something about the spot where the strike occurs that attracts the discharge of power from above. The attraction of His Glory is our heart cry, our worship and desperation for Him! The lightnings of God are about to strike the earth in areas where His people have repented, sought His face and cried out in desperation to Him. To some it will look like destruction. You see, His Goodness is His Glory. He is so Good that when His Glory comes, it is destructive of evil. It's only the Blood of Jesus that keeps us from being destroyed when His Glory comes.

John G. Lake prophesied before he passed over, " I can see...that there is coming from heaven a new manifestation of the Holy Spirit in power, and that new manifestations will be in sweetness, in love, in tendersness...beyond anything your heart or mine ever saw. The very lightning of God will flash through men's souls."

Let our worship be an attraction for His Glory!

Revival

My mind began to drift back this morning to the mid to late nineties when Brownsville was going strong and the fire seemed to be spreading to many other churches and cities. The church I was in was so hungry for God and the pastor was the most desperate man I've ever known. I was the worship leader and many services were totally guided by the Holy Spirit. The worship team would meet before service for prayer and it wasn't uncommon for several members of the team to be so lost in the Spirit or on the floor under the weight of His Glory that they missed the beginning of the service. I will never forget the cry for revival and for souls. Many times during worship the wail of the intercessors rose above the sound of our worship team.

I know the next wave coming is going to be so much greater and more than we have ever imagined. My heart cry is - Lord, please let it be soon! I can't begin to explain why moves of God come in waves. I suspect it's because things need to change in the Body of Christ and flesh gets in the way. I know the enemy also attacks moves of God but he is no match for the Glory of God. Satan can only prevail when the carnality of man gets involved.

I know we are coming into new revelation and the proper alignment of the Body of Christ concerning the apostles and prophets is being accomplished. I believe this proper alignment will bring the next move of God along with signs, wonders, miracles, and societal transformation. I believe the next revival will be more about advancing His Kingdom and changing nations. A new level of authority and governmental anointing will bring us to the place of lasting change.

At the same time, my heart is breaking this morning. Where are the ones who were so desperate for God? Many have just been caught up in life with ordinary things. Many have gone back to contentment with a more reserved, predictable God. Some have fallen away, wondering if it was just an emotion or if God really can make a difference. I feel God's heart...how He longs to be worshiped...how He misses touching His kids...how He wants to change lives and transform nations.

Father, hear the cry of my heart! I want You more than life! I want to see Your Glory!! Please stir us up. Shake us free from anything holding us back from You. Let us be willing to let you out of the box and make room for your Spirit to move. Keep us in the desperate place. Touch us with Your Fire!

There's a New Sound Coming!

Can you hear it? Be still and listen! Get your heart and mind quiet before the Lord and tune in to His heart. There is a sound from around His Throne that is being released to earth. A sound of Glory...a sound of Holiness...a sound that will shake the strongholds of the evil one...a sound this world has never known. There is also a sound from earth...a groaning for the sons of God to be revealed. Creation is longing for the redeemed ones who resonate with the sound of His Glory to come forth.

I believe the Lord is raising up worship leaders around the world who are tapping into the sound that will bring heaven to earth. It's more than a new musical style...it's a cry of a heart desperate for His Glory. It will be found by those who are willing to persue the sound that will please the Father rather than a sound that will excite a crowd.

Sound travels in waves and is basically just a slower form of light. If we weren't limited by our natural senses, we could see sound and hear light. The Word says God is light so God is also sound. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came as a sound from heaven. Not a rushing, mighty wind but a sound like a rushing, mighty wind.

Each of us has a sound or a song that is as unique as our fingerprint. No one else can worship God like you can! Blood vibrates at the DNA cycle of the blood donor so God actually heard the sound of Abel's blood crying out to Him. Through the blood of Jesus we are now "in tune" with heaven and can resonate the sounds of His Glory. This is the new sound that will shake the atmosphere, tear down strongholds, and bring His Glory to earth.

Apostolic Worship

Apostolic Worship was a confusing term to me until recently. I have been considered a prophetic worship leader for quite some time and continue to explore His presence through prophetic, sponteneous times of worship. I had a vision a couple of years ago, seeing myself rising into the atmosphere while worshipping and then addressing or making decrees to the powers of darkness. While I am still receiving revelation concerning this, I believe this is apostolic worship. It is simply worship that opens the heavens for apostolic decrees.

At this time I cannot go into teaching of what the apostolic is. I will list some resources soon for those of you who are new to this. You may do a general search for material from C. Peter Wagner and Dutch Sheets if you are interested in studying the apostolic.

I have been interested in studying the physics of sound for a few years now. I will write more about that at another time. Ray Hughes, Joann McFatter and other are receiving some awesome revelation about sound and worship.

The Lord has directed me to connect apostolic worship leaders to discuss principles and revelation that will take worship to the next level. I believe the apostolic movement needs a "new breed" of worship leaders who understand what is means to open the heavens and are willing to lay down their lives to find the sound.

About Worship Revolution Ministries

Worship Revolution Ministries was founded in 2001 in Oklahoma City, OK by me, Gary Barnes. Having many years of experience in music and in leading worship, I was led of the Lord to begin extended nights of worship and intercession. Part of my vision was to raise up young worship leaders and send them out to take worship to the next level. My team and I had regular services a couple of times per month and also ministered in other locations and conferences. We hosted an annual worship and intercession conference at Shekinah Fellowship in Moore, OK. We also had the opportunity to participate in The Cause, fifty days of prayer and fasting in Colorado Springs with Lou Engle and Forty Days in Dallas with Cindy Jacobs.

In March of 2007, I was married to Timmerle and my two teenage children and I moved to Colorado Springs. Timmerle in on staff with Freedom Church and is the head intercessor for Dutch Sheets Ministries. We believe the Lord has "married" worship and intercession! Timmerle and I have been seeking the Lord concerning our ministry together and Worship Revolution. My son, Jonathan, is an accomplished musician and has ministered with me for several years. My daughter, Jessica, is also gifted musically and will be ministering with us soon.

Worship Revolution is more than just a Christian Band or another worship ministry. It is an affiliation of worship leaders and musicians that the Lord is raising up to find the "sound" that will open the heavens over cities, regions, and nations. There is a new sound being released from heaven that we can come "in tune" with and resonate His sound of Glory throughout the earth!

This ministry/blog will be joined by other worship leaders from across the nation and perhaps from around the world to share experiences in worship and revelations from the Throne of God. Keep an open heart to receive all that the Lord has for you as we explore new realms of His Presence!
